Overview
JEH ("the App") is a classroom observation and walkthrough tool designed for school administrators and instructional coaches. This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles information and why we believe your privacy is non-negotiable. The short version: we collect nothing.
Data Collection
The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter — including observer name, email, phone number, teacher rosters, school details, and observation records — is stored exclusively on your device in a local SQLite database. No data is sent to any server, third party, or cloud service at any time.
Storage Permissions
On Android 9 and below, the App requests WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGEsolely to save generated PDF reports to the device's shared storage so they can be opened or shared by other apps. On Android 10–12, read access is requested for the same purpose. These permissions are not used for any form of data collection, profiling, or analytics.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs — including but not limited to Google Analytics, Firebase, Crashlytics, or Facebook SDK. There are no ad networks, telemetry hooks, or background data exfiltration mechanisms of any kind.
User Control
Because all data resides on your device, you retain full and absolute control over it. You may delete any observation, teacher, or school record at any time through the App's interface. To remove all data permanently, simply uninstall the App — no accounts to delete, no servers to contact.
Children's Privacy
The App is designed for professional use by school administrators and instructional coaches. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect, store, or process any information from children. If you believe a child has inadvertently used the App, uninstalling it will remove all local data.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
